Ghana's health sector has made important strides in disease control and healthcare delivery. The Ministry of Health recently reported that vaccination coverage for childhood diseases has surpassed previous years, contributing to lower incidences of outbreaks.

Efforts to expand access to healthcare in rural and underserved areas are ongoing, with new health centers being commissioned and health workers trained. Ghana is also intensifying its fight against non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes through public awareness campaigns.

The government has increased funding to strengthen the national health insurance scheme, aiming to make healthcare more affordable. Additionally, Ghana is collaborating with international partners to improve maternal and child health outcomes. Challenges such as healthcare worker shortages and infrastructure gaps continue to be addressed through strategic planning.
